Congratulations! Chung Yuan Christian University has once again received international accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business! 2021-02-02

Since receiving AACSB accreditation in 2015, Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) has ranked among the top 5% of business schools worldwide. Through continuous efforts in pursuit of excellence, CYCU successfully renewed its AACSB accreditation in February 2021, extending its membership for another five years. This achievement signifies international recognition of the university's high-quality business education, faculty structure, research performance, financial management, student competitiveness, and social impact.

Amid the global challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, CYCU’s College of Business successfully completed a four-day virtual accreditation visit from November 17 to 20, 2020. Overcoming the logistical difficulties of a remote assessment, CYCU became the first private university in Taiwan to earn AACSB accreditation through an online review process.

 

The AACSB review team consisted of three distinguished deans: Sandeep Krishnamurthy from the University of Washington Bothell, Ross Stewart from Seattle Pacific University, and Melissa L. Gruys from Purdue University Fort Wayne. The evaluation team highly commended CYCU’s commitment to "holistic education" and its three core pillars—Innovation, Humanity, and Localization—which shape a business curriculum that fosters students with professional knowledge, global perspectives, and ethical awareness. The reviewers also praised the overall quality and competitiveness of CYCU’s students.

The successful reaccreditation not only affirms the hard work and dedication of CYCU’s faculty and staff but also highlights the university’s ongoing pursuit of excellence in business education. This recognition enhances the reputation of CYCU students and alumni, broadens international perspectives for both faculty and students, and strengthens the university’s global presence. In particular, under the influence of the global COVID-19 epidemic, Centaline University College of Business successfully completed a four-day online visit from November 17 to 20, 2020, and overcame the difficulties of not being able to visit on site to successfully complete the accreditation process, becoming the first private university in Taiwan to be accredited by AACSB through an online visit.

Gruys, Dean of the College of Business at Purdue University Fort Wayne, USA. Centaline University's core value of "whole-person education" is to nurture numerous outstanding business executives with "professional knowledge, international perspective and ethics" for the country and enterprises, and to integrate the three main axes of the business school, "Innovation, The three pillars of the business school, "Innovation, Humanity and Localization", were highly recognized and encouraged by all members of the committee.
