The College of Business at Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) has achieved another milestone! Its Chung Yuan Chapter, a collegiate chapter of the International Business Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS), has stood out among 641 chapters worldwide for its outstanding performance and continuous promotion of BGS’s influence on campus and globally. The CYCU Chapter has once again been honored with the prestigious Highest Honors Chapter recognition, accompanied by a significant scholarship award. Impressively, this marks the seventh consecutive year of receiving this international recognition, making CYCU the only university in Taiwan to achieve this distinction.

Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is recognized by AACSB, dedicated to honoring outstanding business students and professionals with exceptional achievements. It has chapters across all 50 U.S. states and in more than 190 countries worldwide. Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) established its BGS Chapter in September 2016, and only business schools accredited by AACSB (the top 5% globally) are eligible to establish a chapter.
The CYCU Chapter has not only been recognized as a Highest Honors Chapter for seven consecutive years, but also received the Global Outstanding Chapter Silver Award with prize funding in both 2024 and 2025. To date, the Chapter has inducted 474 distinguished members.
BGS encourages students to pursue advanced business knowledge and practice, while also providing opportunities to participate in international conferences, broaden their global perspectives, and engage in professional networking—making it an essential platform for member growth and development.
This honor not only highlights the commitment and achievements of the CYCU College of Business in holistic education and business talent cultivation, but also demonstrates the high recognition its faculty and students have received on the international stage. The consecutive awards further underscore CYCU’s outstanding accomplishments in internationalization, student quality, and academic impact.
Dean Cheng-Wen Lee of the College of Business stated that the College will continue to leverage the BGS Chapter as a platform, integrating the three core values of Innovation, Humanity, and Global Localization to connect students with the international community. The goal is to cultivate talents equipped with professional knowledge, global perspectives, and ethical integrity, thereby further enhancing CYCU’s influence in international education.
