At this year’s BGS CYCU Chapter event, outstanding students from the “CYCU–Temple University Dual Bachelor’s Degree Program in Business Administration” also joined the gathering.
The program follows a “2+2” structure, where students study at Chung Yuan Christian University during their first two years and complete their junior and senior years at Temple University in the United States, earning bachelor’s degrees from both universities upon graduation. In the past, many outstanding students were already studying abroad during their junior year and therefore unable to participate in BGS activities in Taiwan.
To better connect internationally mobile students with the BGS honor network, the BGS CYCU Chapter introduced a new initiative this year, allowing students to apply for membership in the second semester of their sophomore year. This gives students the opportunity to connect with the world’s top business honor society before beginning their studies overseas.
One especially meaningful moment was when a senior student currently studying at Temple University returned to campus during her short visit back to Taiwan to attend the BGS lecture and networking luncheon. She also shared her overseas study experiences with younger students preparing to study abroad, demonstrating the strong sense of connection and tradition among CYCU–Temple students.
BGS is not only an honor, but also a gateway to global connections and international opportunities.
